Nangaritense has large heart-shaped leaves similar to Gloriosums but appear a little more 'puffy'. This is a very rare species of Philodendron that is native to one specific valley in southern Ecuador. It was only discovered in 2005.

- Light: Bright, indirect light - no direct sunlight.
- Water: Use a spray bottle a few times a week to keep up humidity and keep the soil moist, and water only when the soil is dry.
- Temperature: The warmer the better, originating in rainforests they love humid temperatures and their growth will slow during winter.
- Soil: Aroid-specific soil will do wonders for your Philo - this should have a mix of charcol, bark, perlite and rich soil and is very well-draining. They do not like wet, soggy or heavy soils!
